Following AAD’s decision on the procurement model, AMT had a technical support role in was involved in the overall program planning and development of the acquisition and contracting strategy.

Specific activity conducted by AMT included:

  • Preparation of Tender documentation including re-development of the Function and Performance Specification
  • Support through the bid period and tender evaluation
  • Extensive involvement in the review of technical documentation
  • Provision of specialist technical support
  • Support in the resolution of issues arising during the design and construction phase
  • Provision of specialist on-site personnel during construction/acceptance

AMT has drawn upon its deep experience with complex naval platforms and high value Government procurement programs to provide the AAD with engineering support on a range of technical areas including:

  • Winterisation and Polar Class notation
  • Materials Handling and workflow

  • HVAC
  • Verification and Validation
